Michael Zimmerman is Chief Executive Officer of ROC Ventures, named to remind everyone in the organization of the thread unifying all of ROC’s undertakings: Generate value by creating and strengthening community opportunities – Return on Community.
Since 2004, Michael has built 7 successful healthcare companies, which are now working collectively with over 80 percent of our nation’s hospitals. Zimmerman has been featured in HFM Magazine, HealthLeaders, Modern Healthcare, AAHAM, and The Wall Street Journal.
Michael’s newest endeavor, ROC Ventures, grew out of the former MKE Sports & Entertainment, created in Spring of 2014. ROC Ventures is a fund and management company, which includes ownership and management of a ski hill, youth and adult baseball field complex, hospitality venues, The Milwaukee Milkmen (American Association League), Milwaukee Wave (MASL Professional Soccer Club), and the Kokomo Jackrabbits (Northwoods League). ROC Ventures developed a baseball stadium in 2019 and is currently in the process of a mixed-use development in Franklin, WI called Ballpark Commons.
In Spring of 2013, BizTimes Media awarded Michael Zimmerman the Bravo! Entrepreneur Award, Regional Spirit Award.
In 2015, Michael was a recipient of the Milwaukee Business Journals 40 under 40 Award.
